I really like lists, all kinds. But my favorite are book lists...So, not to be too 'on the nose' here, but here is a list of some of my favorite book lists!
I am a Valentine's Day Scrooge. I think it's a Hallmark-created holiday full of needless obligation to buy needless things. But that's depressing...so let's talk about 2 WAY better holidays!
Have you ever heard people say women just aren't as funny as men? (Usually it's the men who say this.) Luckily, I am a woman and I find women very funny. And, since it's Friday and by Friday I'm always read for at minimum a laugh, let's talk about funny women and, in particular, their funny books.
With all the rogue sites popping up - AltUSForestService, AltBadlandsNatPark, Resistance_NASA, Rogue NOAA, etc - It got me thinking. I've never been a fan of Valentine's Day. It's a Hallmark-created corporatized holiday that makes people who don't have a Valentine feel bad and people who do feel pressure to be romantic just because it's February 14. I'm all about embracing this sea-change of rebellion against a corporate, money-driven society and going rogue on Valentine's Day!
