Top 10 Tuesday: Best Moments of the Holiday Season

So, it's now 10 days into 2017. (10 already? Time goes so fast!) I'm back to my relatively regimented schedule of working, writing, laundry, cleaning, etc, basically, all the stuff of a peaceful daily life. Once we (the proverbial "we") get back in our routines after a vacation or big event, I think we can start to forget all the great memories we've made. They get buried under all the new things we're doing, like an old photograph that gets lost in the bottom of a box for years or maybe forever. So, before I forget them all, I want to document my top 10 best moments of the 2016 vacation holiday season (in no particular order)!

Monday Blog: Reading a Children’s Picture Book at a Book Club for Adults

I went to the monthly book club meeting of the Nightlighters last night. This month we read Where Do They Go? by Julia Alvarez (Author) and Sabra Field (Illustrator). Guess what I'm doing tonight? I'm starting on New Year's Resolution #1 - I'm starting the Harry Potter series.

Hidden Treasures in DC: A Visit to the O Street Museum

When I think of a museum, I usually think of large flowing landscapes, giant replicas of extinct species, airplanes or artifacts. I think of stark white rooms, bright marble hallways, large arching ceilings and glass enclosed cases. I don't usually think of a glowing projection of John Lennon on a bathroom floor. But, that's the kind of thing you get at the O Museum, in Washington, DC...

T-shirt Tuesday: A Glimpse Into the World of a Teenage Girl – Books and Harry Styles

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of spending time with my very sweet, very well-read, very amusing and very teenage "niece," Emma. (She's also a budding musician/poet.) What does this have to do with T-shirt Tuesday? Well, during the visit I got to get a glimpse into her world and this...
