There is very little "Renaissance" in a Renaissance Festival. A better description is Middle Ages meets Middle Earth with a lot more retail stores and a lot fewer boils and sores. That's not to say I don't love a good Renn Fest!
Some books just stick with you, for whatever reason. Sometimes it's not even because they are particularly amazing. It's just that something about them lodges in your brain like the lyrics to some random song and never leaves. So as my 10 for Tuesday, here are 10 books I read a long time ago, but still think about often and I can't seem to get out of my head.

Yesterday, April 23, was Shakespeare's birthday. Well, maybe, no one is really sure. It's also supposed to be his death day. Given we know so little about The Bard, I thought it might be fun to create a quick list of some of the most outlandish theories proposed about Shakespeare the man.
